B Team Leader company Natura has become the largest, and first public company to become a B Corporation, a certification program run by B Lab that encourages companies to be transparent as well as socially and environmentally responsible. This year the movement eclipsed 1000 companies and is now over 1200 strong in over 30 countries.

The Guardian has cited this development as a sign that we may only be at the tip of a larger movement. Up to now, B Corps have typically been small and medium privately owned enterprises, but this move by Natura shows that larger companies are are up to the challenge as they realize the benefits of solidifying their future sustainability objectives through branding, legal protection and talent recruitment among others.
