Unilever Commits to 100% Renewable Energy

Adding to the momentum of Climate Week Paris, B Team Leader Company Unilever, committed to 100% renewable energy by joining The Re:100, a group that supports the world's most influential companies to commit to using 100% renewable power.

Unilever also reported that it has cut one million tonnes of carbon emissions from its operations since 2008, and is currently using 100% renewable energy across its U.S. and European operations. The company also said it will achieve 40% renewable energy across its global operations by 2020.

Unilever was joined by Marks and Spencer and Infosys in committing to 100% renewable energy during Climate Week, adding to the critical momentum needed to demonstrate that the private sector can lead the transition to a low carbon economy.
