Embodying the social commitment of the Group, the Kering Foundation was launched in 2009 by François-Henri Pinault. To bring an end to the fact that 1 in 3 women in the world will be beaten, coerced into sex or otherwise abused, the Foundation focuses its actions on three pillars: Supporting local & international NGOs; Awarding Social Entrepreneurs; and Raising Awareness. With a localised approach in each of the Group’s key geographical areas, the Foundation combats sexual violence in the Americas; traditional practices in Western Europe, and domestic violence in Asia-Pacific.
