Job Description
The strategist should have expertise in and passion for diversity, equity and inclusion and the role of business in creating a more equitable world. The best candidates will have outstanding interpersonal, communication and strategy skills and experience working with senior leaders, including in the private sector. Achieving progress against our goal of advancing gender balance and racial diversity in private sector leadership
Managing and developing relationships with B Team companies and partners across business and civil society
Representing The B Team externally including public speaking and meeting facilitation
Weaving DEI and the call for diverse leadership as a thread across all B Team work
Driving internal DEI efforts to support The B Team’s learning culture
Delivering grant reporting and communications efforts related to this work, together with our resources and communications colleagues
The Strategist may also be required to take on other duties as needed to help drive forward our mission and vision.
The ideal candidate will bring:

Excellent relationship building and project management skills

Ability to juggle a range of projects and partnerships across multiple organizations and time zones
Strong understanding of the intersection of DEI with other issues core to The B Team’s mission, including climate and nature, governance and human rights, ESG reporting and more
Humility and a willingness to work at all levels - from event logistics to high-level strategy
For this position, we are background-agnostic and would like to hear from applicants of all professional backgrounds with varied skill sets and personal experiences. We not only work on diversity issues, but also believe that diversity is a strength for our team. We are also looking forward to meeting with candidates that can bring fresh insight to the team. If you do not meet all of the requirements outlined in the job description below, but believe you could thrive in the role and support The B Team’s mission, we encourage you to apply.
