The Ex'tax Project has released a new report "New era, new plan. Fiscal reforms for an inclusive circular economy," which calls on governments, businesses and NGOs to take the necessary steps to create a just, sustainable tax system fit for the 21st century. In cooperation with Deloitte, EY, KPMG Meijburg and PwC this report offers a case study from the Netherlands on how shifting our tax system could create hundreds of thousands of jobs while decreasing our use of scarce natural resources.
An ex'tax, is a simple idea that advocates raising tax on resources and lowering tax on labour to incentivize clever use of abundant and recycled materials and increase investment in human capital. To read the report click here.
