Harvard Business Review: How Diversity Can Drive Innovation
This article from Harvard Business Review explores the relation between diversity and innovation.
While most managers agree that employers benefit from a diverse workforce, the evidence itself is sometimes harder to quantify, especially when it comes to innovation.
The research highlighted here is based on 40 case studies, a survey of 1800 professionals, and numerous focus groups and interviews and explores the notion of '2-D Diversity' or diversity that is both inherent, and diversity that is acquired through experience.
The finding show that employers with high ranges of 2-D diversity are much likelier to report growth in market share from year to year.
