Welcoming the new CEO of The B Team

Following an extensive search, The B Team is pleased to announce the appointment of Leah Seligmann as the organization’s new CEO.

Leah has served as Chief Change Catalyst and Interim CEO since Halla Tómasdóttir stepped aside from The B Team in March to run, successfully, for President of Iceland.

“For over a decade, B Team Leaders have advocated for a world where people and principles sit at the heart of how business is done,” said Leah. “They challenge, uplift and empower one another to change corporate norms and, together, catalyze economic systems change. I'm honored and humbled to lead this courageous collective, which brims with hope, resilience and a deep-rooted sense of purpose.”

The B Team CEO Search Committee played an involved and integral role in the recruitment and selection process.

“We are in the most important decade of humankind. The challenges for people, planet, systems and organizations calls for leadership that drives change with courage for a better future,” said Jesper Brodin, B Team Chair and Ingka Group I IKEA CEO. “Today, I am proud and inspired to welcome Leah Seligmann as the new CEO of The B Team. Leah brings years of experience and a great appetite to make a difference as we take the next leaps toward a just and sustainable future.”

Leah is a seasoned sustainability leader who has spent her career partnering with CEOs and global leaders. Her work with The B Team spans nearly a decade. Before that, she held roles including Chief Sustainability Officer at NRG Energy, a Fortune 200 energy company, and at Blu Skye Consulting, advising major companies such as Alcoa, Microsoft, Staples and Walmart on how to integrate sustainability into their business strategies and operations.
